Asynchronous classes were implemented last Thursday to give a day-reflection for grade 12 students regarding their career path.

Valley High Academy (VHA) conducted a Career Guidance event last November 28, 2024 with the theme of ‘Navigating the Future: The Career Quest Begins’. 

“We don’t just navigate the future, we shape it,” Mary Love Guevarra said, the VHA guidance associate.

Representatives of 13 universities around Rizal and Metro Manila arrived at Rodriguez Municipal Gymnasium to talk and promote their school to VHA Grade 12 Students.

The following universities are; Centro Escolar University (CEU), Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU), Far Eastern University (FEU) Roosevelt, PHINMA Saint Jude College, Manila Central University (MCU), STI Fairview, PNTC College, National University (N.U) Fairview, ICCT Colleges, St. Paul University, World Citi Colleges (WCC), Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), and Mapua University.

Each school put up a stall with tarpaulin-posters that contains information about their university. As part of their campaign, they handed-out flyers and school merchandise. 

The schools presented their history, achievements, available courses, and scholarship grants. The representatives remarked a promise that they would give quality learning and services.

“This event helps the students to learn about different universities to study for their college. Also, it has a lot of help for students who can't decide what course and schools they will go to after graduating [sic],” student from STEM strand, Ryan Bernada said.

The event ended with a speech from Emmanuel Magno, the strand head of HUMSS and GAS. 

“Ang buhay ay hindi karera, but you must go for it and breakthrough,” Magno said.
