Valley High Academy Inc. (VHA) distributed relief goods to more than 50 affected families of Vallenians after Severe Tropical Storm Crising hit the municipality.

The recipients are students from grade 11 and 12 that reside in Maly, Burgos, Dela Costa, Rosario, Dike, Balite, Kasiglahan, San Jose, and San Rafael. The school administrators drove around each barangay and assigned a meeting place where students could receive the goods.

According to 12th grader Avril Sumait, the relief goods will help them get by for the meantime as they recover from the effects of the typhoon.

“Super grateful po talaga kami sa VHA and their help,” she added.

Classes have been suspended since Friday, July 18, 2025, yet VHA Principal-directress Regina Quimno and HR Marketing Head Dixie Ramos keep checking on the students and receive reports that there are students who experienced flooding, especially in Dela Costa.

On Tuesday, the senior high school (SHS) strand heads were tasked to list the names and residence of the affected students. With the mantra OneVHA, the administrators of the school united in order to prepare relief goods. The volunteers started to re-pack groceries on Wednesday morning.

Montalban, Rizal is now under a state of calamity due to the damage that Severe Tropical Storm Crising brought. Despite that, VHA administrators still chose to visit the affected areas on the same day and distributed aid supplies which included mineral water, bread and spread, cup noodles, coffee, and canned goods.
