VHA conducted their first-ever fun run event in San Jose Oval as part of the 32nd Founding Anniversary celebration.

The first three students recognized are all from HUMSS 11. They were teammates in the track and field VHA team last municipal meet. 

“Yung naging enjoyable part sa ‘kin [ay] makasabay yung mga teammates ko. Masaya kasi kasabay ko yung sila na umangat at makapasok sa top three,”  Taladro said. 

The event started with a simple morning zumba led by VHA teachers before the students line up in the running area.

"Ang main goal ng activity natin is run for the future. We run for the future,” Ms. Jenny Rose Jaromay said, a physical education instructor in the SHS department.

The organizers of the event coordinated with the marshals, teachers, rover scouts, and VSL to guide the students running in the highway and ensure students’ safety. 

"Yung daan natin is wide road, maraming sasakyan, pero naging successful. Coordination with them is very smooth,” Ms. Jaromay said.

On her last statement, Ms. Jaromay pointed out that, “Most students ngayon ay physically inactive. Hindi lang din naman physical health ang iniimprove natin dito, pati na rin ang social skills natin.”

The PEH instructors in school motivated the students to join by giving rewards for the first three participants to finish the 1-kilometre run.

The fun run activity ended around 7:00 o’clock in the morning. After the run, senior high school students become busy setting up their booths.

The school permits the booth to open an hour after the fun run activity and let them operate for 3 consecutive days.

Each strand falls into categories: game booth for STEM; beverages booth for HUMSS; dessert booth for TVL, and street food booth for ABM. 

The Vallenian Student Leaders also organized the photo booth and face painting booth.
