Valley High Academy Inc. marks 32 Years of excellence with a grand opening

A week-long celebration in Valley High Academy, Inc. as it commenced its 32nd Founding Anniversary from January 27, 2025 to January 31, 2025.
“Thank you for being part of this journey and joining us in celebrating 32 empirical years of an inspirational journey. Thank you everyone,” The school principal directress, Ms. Regina Quimno said.
The main event was athletes’ oath of sportsmanship which emphasized their discipline and commitment to fair play.
The symbolic tradition of VHA is the lighting up of the torch done by chosen student athletes namely Athena Josef Luna, Ayesha San Agustin, John Louie Bahandi, and Josh Causing.
After the opening ceremony, Vallenians witnessed the festival dance and cheer dance performance by grade 11 and 12 students.
“I'm so excited to see kung gaano ka-creative yung grade 11 and 12 natin sa festival and cheerdance competition and it looks like lahat ng bata ay nagprepare. Ngayon palang, I would like to congratulate them,” Ms. Dixie Ramos said, VHA HR and Marketing manager.
ABM strand secures back-to-back victory in dance competition this foundation week
Dominating the stage with a powerful dance performance, ABM stood as champions in both cheer dance and festival dance competition on Monday.
The Grade 11 ABM winning performance in festival dance showcases the culture of Kadayawan Festival.
Other strands represent different cultures of feast: Panagbenga festival for HUMSS; Masskara festival for STEM; Pahiyas festival for TVL.
"Confident po kami na makukuha namin ang championship today,” Shamaine Nitollama said, festival dance participant from ABM.

“Inabot na kami ng alas-diyes for last practice. Ang daming nangyari: pabalik-balik sa tindahan kasi walang mabiling pintura. Nagdoble na kami ng bayad sa shop para lang makabili at matapos yung backdrop. Nakikita nyo naman na sobrang detalyado yung ginawa ng mga bata,” Ms. Mae Magdaraog said. She is the class adviser of ABM 11.
While ABM 12 performance in cheer dance competition gives a back-to-back champion for the strand.
Their choreography used the remix of OPM hits music of Sexbomb. They stood out in their red-themed style.

“Hindi ko ganoong ine-expect na mananalo talaga kami since kinulang na kami sa preparation. Yung mga props namin gahol na rin, even yung pag-practice ng mga stunts,” Andrei Principio said. He is the student choreographer of ABM strand since last year.
“Our hard work paid off, kaya congrats everyone. Hindi ko man masabi sa inyo ito isa isa pero super na-appreciate and proud ako sa inyong lahat, simula sa una hanggang sa dulo," Principio added.
Behind the performance of each strand is a student-choreographer that poured ideas and taught the participants.
In grade 11 festival dance, the choreographers are: Andrew Lorenzo, Renren Acerit, and Aishiny Colin Nicolas for ABM; Jemuel Bello and Ace Moreno for HUMSS; Alejandro Ramos and Deceray Vente for STEM; John Prince Lauresta and Shanaia Pajonilla for TVL.
In grade 12 cheer dance, the choreographers are: Andrei Principio for ABM; Armel Rañola, Lavern Gaunia, and Atrhon Seña for HUMSS; Josh Causing, Joyce Marie Boongaling, Majeh De Jesus, and Leo Justine Rodriguez for STEM; Jeric Española, She Navarro, and Onad Pabillan for TVL
In an interview from TVL 11 strand, John Prince Carl Lauresta said, “Pagdating sa preparation syempre mahirap kasi onting oras lang - siguro four days or one week lang po namin siyang nagawa.”
“Kapag nagawa mo na sa performance parang natanggalan ka ng tinik sa katawan,” one of the student choreographer of STEM 12, Josh Causing said.
